The Archerfield Young Chefs Certificate of Excellence Award

The Award's purpose is to educate, train and place young people in the industry by giving them the opportunity to grow into talented chefs.

More about the Award:

  • Archerfield will run the programme together with Edinburgh College
  • Chef Joe Queen, who is on the Board of Springboard Scotland as well as was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from HIT Scotland, takes on the role of the programme's Development Master Chef
  • It will be a fully accredited city and guilds course giving the right candidates an accreditation after successfully completing the course
  • Six young people will be recruited through an application process who will then take on a 2-year apprenticeship. This will give the apprentices a "Real Time" experience and a chance to work in several different environments
  • By the end of the Apprenticeship, the successful candidates will be guaranteed a position within Caledonian Heritable who also runs establishments like the Dome in Edinburgh.
