Travelodge gives first look at new 'luxe' from its hotels this month

Budget hotel brand Travelodge has announced plans to overhaul its core brand, bringing in a new budget luxurious premium brand.

The marketing says the budget luxe design was created on the back of the success of the TravelodgePLUS budget chic hotel format, with feedback from the company 's consumer survey.

The introduction of a distinctive navy blue brand is a tribute to the first Travelodge brand colour selected for its calming and enchanting properties.

Hotel reception rooms will also be outspoken on decorative panels, soft LED lighting, leather benches and wooden floors during restoration.

Other characteristics include energy-efficient lighting, motion detectors and ventilated showers and taps.

Five luxury hotels, including three near the Travelodge HQ in Southwark, Vauxhall and Wembley in London, and Southampton and Thame in Oxfordshire, are due to be completed this month.
