Thursday, October 7, 2021

Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland announced a contract extension for its catering and entertainment.

Restaurant Associates have reached a three-year agreement extension with Edinburgh Zoo, the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.

The Giraffe Cafe features a menu and beverage menu centred around the giraffe to celebrate the giraffe's arrival at Edinburgh Zoo.

The topic is further enhanced by the arrival of hydroelectronics at the Grasslands restaurant where watercress is used for sandwiches and the wheatgrass for smoothies to encourage sustainability and nutrition, while being inspired by the giraffes "own nutrition.

The conference and meeting rooms are advertised at £32.75 a person, and include tea, coffee and biscuits upon arrival and a season-specific lunch buffet.

Ben Supple, Director of Engagement and Business Development for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, says: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Restaurant Associates at Edinburgh Zoo. This is a partnership in the truest sense of the word, with the Restaurant Associates team very much part of the RZSS family and our journey to connect people with nature and protect threatened species.

Ben Supple, Royal Zoological Society of Scotland 'As a wildlife conservation charity, sustainability is incredibly important and will be integral to how we develop our food offer.
