Skills Coach - Professional Cookery

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, Sessional

Start Date: 14 August 2023

Salary: Grade 4 Points 18 to 22

£26,283 to £29,201 per annum pro-rata (pay award pending/subject to pending job evaluation)

West Lothian College is looking to appoint an outstanding Skills Coach in Professional Cookery. This role will be based within our Business, Creative and Enterprise faculty working alongside our Professional Cookery team. The successful candidate will provide holistic, individualised support which empowers learners with self-belief, relevant skills, motivation and confidence to enable them to progress into employment, self-employment or further training/education.

As a Skills Coach you will enable others to develop and achieve their goals. Showing empathy, being a mentor and building relationships should come naturally to you. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual, with drive to succeed who can provide a supportive service whilst working with a wide range of internal and external partners.

The successful candidate must be educated to SCQF Level 7 or equivalent in a relevant Professional Cookery discipline. There must also be evidence of relevant hospitality industry experience and an understanding of skills required to thrive in employment.

This is a sessional role so you will only work during term time. Further details regarding being a sessional member of staff be found in the attached document.
