The Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers

Description

The ASSC is the only trade association representing the self-catering sector in Scotland.

We are the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers

Founded in 1978, the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers is the leading source of knowledge and advocacy in Scottish self-catering. We aim to empower our diverse and professional membership to enable them to give guests unforgettable experiences. With more than 1,700 members, we support the operation of tens of thousands of self-catering properties across Scotland.

The ASSC is a not-for-profit organisation run by and for owners and operators. As a member of the Scottish Tourism Alliance Council and the European Holiday Homes Association, we work closely with local authorities and the Scottish Government to ensure that our sector is recognised as pivotal to the future of Scotland’s Tourism Economy.

Self-catering is sustainable, flexible, independent, and affordable, offering inclusivity for all. For this reason, we commit our members to maintain high-quality principles and provide support packages to aid exemplary self-catering management. The ASSC does not run a booking agency but helps to market members’ properties via our visitor-facing commission-free platform, EmbraceScotland. Here, guests deal directly with your business and benefit from your personal touch and direct booking discounts.
