A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESERVATIONS AGENT AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

• Inputting reservations and taking new bookings
• Updating all reservations made by online agents
• Checking arrivals for the following day
• Answering all email and telephone enquiries
• Inputting group rooming lists

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Reservations Agent, you will need the following qualities and skills.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera and other relevant computer software.
• A proactive approach to resolving issues that arise.
• Have excellent personal presentation, listening skills, verbal and written communication.
• Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service with a "can do" attitude.
• A strong team player with abilitiy to multi-task and priortise work commitments
• Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude even under high pressure
• Professional/confident telephone manner
• good sense of humour and an approachable personanility.
