A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEETING AND EVENTS OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR AT CROWNE PLAZA DOCKLANDS

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Operations Manager, as Meeting and Events Operations Supervisor you will be key in ensuring our day-to-day meetings, functions, banquets and events run smoothly. This is a hands-on supervisory role, leading from the front. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about events industry.

As Meeting and Events Operations Supervisor you must be self-motivated and be an inspirational leader, who believes in delivering the best possible standards in guest service. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest complaints and providing departmental performance.

Your key areas responsibility will include:

  • Take ownership of events space, manage facilities, and ensure venue maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety standards, as well as licencing laws.
  • Develop operational and service standards, creating a comprehensive manual.
  • Ensure the smooth and well-coordinated delivery of high profile, bespoke events.
  • Prepare events spaces for upcoming operations and plan logistics.
  • Actively upsell food and beverages and demonstrate attention to detail initiative.
  • Monitor departmental service and teamwork, making improvement recommendations.

The ideal candidate is an individual who cares about providing excellent service to our guests and who can use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wondrous experience for everyone. Has an excellent customer focus, organisation and methodical approach is paramount with this role in order for the team and hotel to be successful. Experience within a similar environment is preferable.
