A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE HEAD CHEF AT THE CROWN HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

Your role will involve leading the effective management of the kitchen. You can expect your working day to include the following duties:

• Managing the ordering and stocking of the kitchen, within budgeted COS targets, seeking opportunities to maximise the GP of dishes and menus
• Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and food safety procedures
• Manage the development of the kitchen team through training and coaching
• Menu development, for our restaurant, bars, and cafe, as well as bespoke offerings for meeting and events, including large banqueting
• Leading the team in the preparation of the highest quality food for our guests on a daily basis

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

You may be a Sous Chef looking for career advancement or an existing Head Chef wanting to broaden your existing experience. To succeed in the role of Head Chef you will need the following qualities and skills.

• A team player with an ability and desire to contribute and support the team
• Someone who is passionate and innovative about food
• Experience of working with fresh ingredients
• Experience of working with function business
