The Job:

As an accountant within our client’s practice, you will play a pivotal role within the team, managing client relationships, ensuring timely documentation and delivering accurate financial insights. From preparing annual accounts for limited companies to assisting with tax returns and providing invaluable advisory services, your expertise will contribute to their clients' success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client relationships, ensuring a positive experience
• Communicate financial concepts in clear, non-technical language
• Prepare workpapers and ensure balance sheet accuracy
• Utilise software such as Taxfiler, Iris, Xero, Sage, SAP and NetSuite
• Draft client communications explaining financial results
• Review workpapers for accuracy and provide guidance to team members
• Assist with bookkeeping, VAT queries and ad hoc tasks

The Person:

This role would suit a part qualified accountant looking to work within a practice environment and enjoy the variety of working within many businesses across differing industries. Our client is looking for someone with:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in practice accounting (preferred)
• Part-qualified or qualified via a UK institute
• Proficiency in Xero software preferred
• Strong tax knowledge, including CGT and VAT
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines with efficiency
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
