Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has given a generous gift of £250.000 to fight urban poverty.

The programme is designed to mitigate the impact of food poverty and to provide assistance to Wolverhampton residents affected by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Feed Our Pack will aid selected foodbanks around the city to increase the supply of food that meets the demands.

The levels of unemployment and the number of people claiming Universal Credit in Wolverhampton are above the national average and the figure of 29% of children in the town is classified as living in poverty.

Wolves Chief Executive Jeff Shi commented: "I am impressed and very proud of the Wolves Foundation for their commitment and dedication to helping the community during the pandemic and in launching Feed Our Pack.
