Wendy’s to Make a Return to the UK

Popular US burger chain Wendy’s is considering a return to the UK within the next 12 to 18 months, almost 20 years later after pulling out of the UK, following a presentation to investors.
Founded in Ohio, 1969, Wendy’s now operates over 6,000 franchised restaurants in the US, and 800+ worldwide and is hoping to increase that number over the next few years.
Speculation around the chains return to the UK has been rising since a pop up in London two years ago, that seemed to be testing the waters for a re-entry to the UK market.
Wendy’s is the top 5 of US fast food giants and regards the UK as part of their key expansion plans.
