Waitrose Anti-Plastic Scheme to Extend to Further Stores

Friday, August 2, 2019

Following a tested “Unpacked” scheme in Oxford, where customers could bring in their own containers to purchase package free products which includes pasta, frozen fruit and even wine.  Over 200 products were taken out of their packaging and now the same initiative will take place in the Cheltenham, Abingdon and Wallingford stores.

Cut flowers, fruit and vegetables, beer, lentils, seeds and frozen fruit are just some of the goods to be removed from their packaging.

Following successes, the Oxford store trial has been extended past the original end date of August the 18th.
