The Queen's surprising love of fast food, besides McDonald's and KFC

A former royal chef who cooked for the Queen for more than a decade has revealed her favourite fast food, as well as a bizarre request she keeps when she is served it.

Professional chef Darren O'Grady has had a startling revelation that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a fan of fast food. Apparently, the Queen is a fan of burgers, however, not the ones from KFC or McDonalds. Instead, the Queen would ask her chef, Mr O'Grady, to create his own burgers. What's more, they would be venison burgers.

The Queen vacations nearly every August or September at the Balmoral country estate in Scotland - the first time in decades that is without Prince Philip after he died in April.

The Queen has visited dozens of countries during her near 70-year reign as monarch and during State visits, and is seen indulging in incredible dishes to taste local cuisine.

What you will never see is the Queen, as well as the rest of the Royal Family, eating shellfish to avoid food poisoning. Anther food item that will never appear on the Queen's menu is garlic. Apparently, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II dislikes both the smell and the taste of it.

Former Royal chef Darren McGrady says he would rather eat game-meat with cranberries instead of a secret sauce, but has never wedged it between a bun.

But this was not restricted to the Queen, as the entire royal family were banned from eating it. He went on: 'Her Majesty's Victorian upbringing dictates that the only thing you would pick up and eat with your fingers is afternoon tea.

Turns out, the Queen's guilty pleasure is a no-bun, venison burgers with cranberry stuffed into them.
