Staycation boom to boost UK more than Europe

Britain will be a big winner of the holiday boom this year, even as eurozone holiday hotspots have been struggling with the deficiency of international travel.

Such was the Resolution Foundation's assessment that an additional 30.5 billion pounds (42 billion dollars) would be injected, and 300.000 jobs, into the UK's tourism and dining sector, which was affected by the pandemic if all tourists from all over Europe were to substitute a holiday abroad with a domestic holiday.

But a new study by the Resolution Foundation found that cities such as London and Manchester will 'lose'.
