Social distancing is abolished as Isle of Man lifts restrictions on COVID-19

Wednesday, February 3, 2021

The Isle of Man has emerged from its blockade, opening schools and bringing back access to pubs to locals.

But from today on the people from the island of 85,000 will not have to leave socially, which will boost morale enormously.

All shops that had closure or changed to a take-away service have been told they could reopen.

Minister Howard Quayle told Sky News that the Manx people had been extremely "patriotic" in their ways of abiding by the rules.

This means that the island's inhabitants and important workers will be free to travel.

A Jet Skiing trip by a sick husband to see his girlfriend in the Isle of Man hit headlines last year.
