Scottish business confidence plunged towards the closing days of 2020, ahead of further cuts to the coronavirus virus and the first-ever lockdown, new research reveals.

Most beneficiary enterprises, which have already applied for the four week payment under the Strategic Framework Fund for enterprise, will benefit from an auto-topping-up.

Following the release of the figures on Monday, the Scottish Government announced an increase in support to hospitality, retail and leisure sector organisations closed around Scotland by phase 4 restrictions.

Companies which have not yet applied for any of these funds should make a request via their local authority websites as soon as possible.
