CEO Pano Christou told PA news agency Pret's growth plan will target more transport hubs, motorway service stations and suburbs.

Sandwich chain Pret a Manger plans to open 200 UK stores in the next two years after receiving a £100m financial injection - and says people will return to shops when they travel back into UK cities.

Pret has said sales in the UK are returning to pre-Pandemic levels, after sales slumped 58 per cent to £295m last year, causing an operating loss of £256.5m as the company tackled temporary store closures.

The Mirror also reports the chain is aiming to reinstate the 3.000 employees who lost their jobs last year.
