Multimillion-pound plans for recreational development on Perth's edge revealed

Plans for the West Kinfauns site will come from engineering and equipment group Morris Leslie, headquartered in the suburban Perth village.

With 120-150 rooms on four floors, the resort aims to attract a world-renown brand while enjoying spectacular views over the River Tay.

Perthshire-based Morris Leslie, chief executive of the company, said: "This exciting £33.8 million development provides the perfect opportunity to maximise the potential of the location and draw tourism to the area on a local and national basis.

The area, located off the dual carriageway into Perth, has been identified as the site for a planned park and ride scheme which is subject to planning permission and plans to include the site as the council makes progress.

Once operational, the development is estimated to create 170 direct employment opportunities locally, including lodging, retail and leisure.
