'Perfect time' for new Inverness hotel to open for guests

Tuesday, July 6, 2021

An sprawling summer house-building boom has been predicted in Inverness as the Highland capital's newest hotel opens to guests for the first time.

Scotland's first Radisson Individual Hotel, the website was developed by Axcel Hospitality, of which Hilton, Marriott and Accor Hotels are part of the portfolio, with assistance from strategic property advisor Avison Young.

Located at the heart of the city centre on Church Street, it's just minutes from Inverness Rail Station.

These include Britain's first newly constructed Voco Hotel, opened earlier this year in Edinburgh.

Ian Derrick, director at Avison 'Inverness has been one of the UK's top performing hotel markets in recent years. This has been driven by the increasing tourism profile of the city and the wider Highland region, and reinforced by the limited supply of new hotel developments.

Inverness is a market we have been attempting to invest in for some time and and we are confident that it will complement our existing UK hotel portfolio."
