Papa John’s: 400 UK Stores and Counting

Wednesday, January 9, 2019

During the end of 2018, popular pizza chain Papa John’s passed the 400-store milestone in the UK after opening additional stores in 9 locations.  Founded in 1984 in the US, Papa John’s has snowballed into the third-largest pizza delivery chain in the UK, currently rivaling Domino’s Pizza.  With over 40 international markets and over 5,000 stores, it is clear they won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

In fact, Papa John’s have plans to open more sites in the UK this year, after achieving “excellent” region sales in December 2018.

In October 2018, Papa John’s turnover had risen 19%, equating to £67,256,000 in the year to the end of 2017 and this year they made a higher pre-tax profit which was £6,423,000.  This shows that customer demand is higher, resulting in the need for new stores and new staff to join them on their ever-growing journey.
