KFC to create 5400 UK and Ireland jobs

KFC plans to create another 5400 jobs in the next three months as the chicken chain prepares to begin celebrating Christmas.

Despite the devastating job losses across the hospitality sector, the fast food chain announced the new tasks have been taken on top of 4.300 total jobs it created since March.

The new recruitment scheme is aimed at 16-to 24-year-olds and follows KFC's announcement it would use the Government's £2 billion 'Kickstart Scheme' fund to subsidise recruitment.

Paula MacKenzia, managing director of KFC UK and Ireland, said: "There's no denying it's been a tough year for the hospitality sector, and we're already seeing the substantial impact of that across our high streets and city centres.
