Henderson Park acquires Amaris' Hotel Platform to generate hospitality

Wednesday, January 12, 2022

Henderson Park, the private equity real estate holding company, announced the acquisition of Amaris Hospitality's business and hotel management platform from LRC Group while creating a dedicated hospitality and asset management platform called Klarent Hospitality.

Klarent Hospitality is run by the existing Amaris management team headed by Peter Stack and John Brennan who are currently CEO and Chairman respectively.

It follows Henderson Park’s recent acquisition of a 2,424 key portfolio of 12 high-quality Hilton-branded hotels, managed by Amaris Hospitality, which closed in November.

However, the Amaris Hospitality name and brand does not form part of the acquisition and will continue to be owned by LRC Group. Moreover, all of current Amaris Hospitality employees will transition to Klarent Hospitality and continue in their roles, offering a seamless transition for personnel, suppliers and uninterrupted customer service

After an investment programme of £100m, 22 hotel renumberings,"significant" improvements in the product and client experiences and a programme to drive the business into superior performance, growing investor demand triggered the sale of the Jurys-Inn Group of hotels to Pandox in 2017.

One of he founding partners of Henderson Park,  Nick Weber, said that "This new business will be integral to helping us drive further value for our investors from our hospitality assets. We have long admired the Amaris Hospitality business model and track record, as well as the quality and expertise of its team."
