CH&CO Buy Gather & Gather

Catering company CH&CO, which has a Royal Warrant for their catering services for The Queen, had just acquired Mitie Catering, the owner of Gather & Gather, in order to bring in an additional turnover of £137m and expand its portfolio by over 300 sites in the UK and Ireland.

The current managing director of Gather & Gather, Allister Richards, has said that he will stay in his position with the company while continuing to provide catering for their clients under a new strategic management partnership.  The company launched in 2013 and serves more than 250,000 customers each day across workplaces, outdoor events and historic venues.

The hope from this acquisition is to reimagine workplace dining by focusing on nutrition and getting chefs to work with local produce, bringing together suppliers.

This year the company opened two cafes in Primark; the sites being in Manchester and Glasgow, and worked to provide compostable coffee cups.
