Glasgow, at the end has another highly sought after Michelin star.

Great Western Road's Cail Bruich won the top prize.

The restaurant was opened for the first time in 18 years in the West End, in the East End,

By early 2020 it was clear Chris, a chef, was going to move out to concentrate on other aspects of the family-owned business - which includes Bar Brett and Epicures.

Cail Bruich, with three AA Rosettes and a Michelin star, was opened in 2008 by the brothers Chris and Paul Charalambous, who had been running the kitchen and front door, respectively.

With Glasgow currently suffering from Class Four restrictions, the restaurant will provide delivery and pickup only for its CB-for-Home set menus, but will also sell its five-course and nine-course tastebuds for lunch and dinner when hospitality can reopen.

Cail Bruich 's owners Paul and Chris Charalambous added: "We are overwhelmingly pleased and humbled to be presented with this award.
