So, staff at all hotels get involved in fundraising challenges to support the charity. In 2020/2021 the chosen charities they've opted to fundraise in aid of are The Wildlife Trusts and Mental Health UK.
Apex places huge importance on staff wellbeing. They have a wellbeing budget which dedicates resources to supporting staff with their mental, physical and financial wellbeing. They participate in the Best Companies survey every year and currently hold a 2-star accreditation. Moreover, the second highest standard of workplace engagement recognises Apex as an ‘outstanding’ place to work.
Helping the Environment:
Caring about the environment is important for the family-owned hotel company. That's why the are making efforts to reduce their carbon, energy, water, and waste footprint in line with Apex's ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ initiative. Further, another crucial environmental worry is the amount of food that goes to waste in the hospitality industry. Therefore, Apex works with suppliers to minimise waste and increase recycling, including food waste management and the elimination of single-use plastics in hotel room amenities by 2022.
