The Isles of Glencoe Hotel is in a spectacular spot. A place where our guests come to explore but also kick back and soak up our service, food, drink and spectacular views. Our team also know a thing or two about the area as they've scaled mountains, explored lochs and found some much-loved spots to explore.

About the role

This role has been created in order to support aspirational and capable team members or new applicants, to progress in the profession of hospitality management. The Crieff Hydro family of hotels, owned and managed, is committed to identify and develop talent from every background and provide them with useable and worthwhile skills.

The scheme is designed to develop ambitious, motivated and talented team members or new applicants who have concluded that they wish to embark upon a meaningful career in the hospitality industry. During your program, you will be exposed to every departmental discipline with the view that, upon completion of the program, you will be equipped to assume the role of an HOD or an assistant manager in one of the family of hotels. The program duration is anticipated to be between one and three years but dependent upon the progress of each candidate. Future progression will be discussed and road-mapped at your yearly performance review.

You will be assigned a senior manager as your mentor. Your mentor will help guide you through the myriad of challenges and opportunities you will face during this program. In our family of hotels, we speak more about leadership than we speak about management. As a future leader, you need to be credible, hard working with the highest levels of ethics and personal integrity, in short, you must be an exemplar to those whom you work alongside, you are to be a role model for those that follow you and aspire to be you.

Your program may and probably will mean that you will work in one or more geographic locations within the family of hotels and also the program is designed so that you acquire a sound working knowledge of most of the departments in each hotel.

From time to time, you will be seconded to Leadership Team members who provide a specialist role within the family, specifically these would be the finance department, sales, marketing and revenue management.

Your first year will focus on your operational capability and aims to develop you to the point where you are confident and capable to complete a DM shift, run a food and beverage service (in any outlet), complete a front desk shift as the lead, have 100% compliance on FLOW (our training platform), to possess a sound knowledge of unit H&S procedures and to be pro-active in this respect, to be a qualified pool responder and first aid practitioner. During the lifetime of your program, which we anticipate to be three years, you can expect us to develop you with formal WSET, ILM IOSHH qualifications in addition to departmental, financial and operational training
