A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECEPTION MANAGER AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Supporting Management of Front Desk Team and all day-to-day reception duties
  • Being responsible for always ensuring a smooth-running front office operation, dealing with guest queries and requests efficiently and ensuring this is carried out through the team.
  • Anticipating guests' need by enhancing The Westin Experience
  • Monitoring and Supporting Progress Toward Guest Services and Front Desk Goals
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service.
  • Function in place of the Front of House Manager in his/her absence.
  • Ensures compliance with all Front Office policies, standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Front of House Manager on ways to continually improve departmental service.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...

To succeed in the role of Reception Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the guest services, front desk, or related professional area in 5-star hotel. Marriott experience is preferable but not necessary.
  • We are looking for someone with a pleasant & welcoming manner.
  • Flexible & adaptable to different working conditions & hours.
  • Forward and creative thinker who promotes new ideas.
  • Immaculate appearance.
  • Oral & written fluency in English. Additional language will be considered a plus.
  • Be motivated & a self-starter.
  • Have a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS.
  • Commitment to our Westin branded values and beliefs.
  • Good effective training & interpersonal skills
