The Exciting Opportunity

The Project Manager contributes to RBH's goals and values by supporting the Group Capital Manager and Property and Development teams, with the delivery of large development and capital and refurbishment projects across a Groups of 45+ Hotels.  

 

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the management of multiple capital and refurbishment projects across a diverse group of hotels.
  • Responsible for delivery of projects on schedule, within budget, and to the quality standards required.
  • Develop relationships with, and provide constant and consistent communications to the Capital, Property and Development teams, Hotels, and management company.
  • Liaise with the client, contractors, and designers where necessary to achieve the project goal.
  • Specify and procure FF&E items for hotel refurbishments, extensions, and new builds and where applicable in accordance with hotel brand standards.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects from a management and financial perspective, ensuring successful planning through to execution.
  • In conjunction with senior team members, ensure both external and internal stakeholders are kept informed through regular updates on project progress.
  • Assist with annual asset tours to identify capital requirements within strict budgets ensuring compliance with current H&S and Fire Life Safety standards.
  • Procure and appoint external consultants on behalf of owners to assist with delivery of approved projects.
  • Liaise with hotel management teams prior to and throughout the duration of capital works to ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations.
  • Ensure all capital requests are completed in line with company policy before presentation to a respective owner.

 


We are looking for an individual who has:

  • A degree / professional qualification in relevant discipline; Surveying, Project Management, Construction, Architecture or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in hospitality industry preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience in the disciplines of architecture, estimating, interior design, product specification, procurement, construction management and accounting.
  • Experience in preparation of specifications of work, estimating, bidding, and contracting, procurement of materials, installations of services, financial and scheduling management.
  • Knowledge about property, facilities or construction related matters.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required.

N.B. first round interviews will occur virtually and are likely to be scheduled in the last week of June 2021. Second round interviews will occur in person (preferred approach and social distancing will be adhered to) on 7-9 July 2021.

You will be preferably working at our friendly Head Office in Glasgow. Our open plan offices are warm and inviting and your desk will be amongst some great people who work in functions like Marketing, Finance, HR and Property.
