12 Month Placement Opportunities
We have unique opportunities for students to undertake a 12 month placement at Cameron House.
Though a short drive from Glasgow, Cameron House feels a million miles away from everyday life.
Magnificent and uniquely inspirational. Cameron House, a 5 star resort nestled on the world-famous bonnie banks of Loch Lomond has reopened following a multi-million pound restoration. Located where the Scottish Highlands meet the Lowlands, the 17th century Baronial estate where Cameron House resides is rich in character and history. With an award-winning Spa with rooftop infinity pool, an 18-hole championship golf course, an extensive array of resort activities, and a choice of six restaurants and five bars that will cater to everyone.
The iconic lochside setting is impressive in its grandeur, celebrated and treasured. Set within 400 acres of beautiful Scottish countryside, adventure is on your doorstep, with Loch Lomond providing the perfect location for water sports and land activities, including speedboat tours, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking, 4X4 off-road driving, falconry and more.

With so many areas within our operation, we are able to offer placements with lots of different scope depending on where your interest and development needs lie. Students have the opportunity to work within a minimum of 2 different departments within their chosen specialist area.
You'll be inducted and will be trained in the entry level requirements of the job role. Additionally you will be invited to participate in a number of supervisory and management activities during your time with us such as attending meetings, launches and resort wide training and initiatives as part of our opening plan and beyond.
Placements are broadly split into two 6 month blocks to allow for detailed training, and competence to develop, however this can be flexible to suit the needs of the business and those of the student and may at times cover 3+ different areas of the operation.
You will be assigned a mentor from our senior management team who will check in with you regularly to ensure you are getting the most from your time with us.
Food and Beverage Placement
Cameron Grill, Great Scots Bar, Room Service, Lobby Bar, Boathouse, Clubhouse and Meeting and Events, Food and Beverage control.
Rooms Division Placement
Front Office, Guest Experience, Reservations and Housekeeping teams
Outdoor activities, Spa Reception, Leisure Club operations, Golf and Marina
Kitchens across all Food and Beverage outlets, or pastry.

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:
To be currently undertaking a Hospitality/Tourism/Leisure based qualification
Ability to quickly build excellent working relationships
Excellent interpersonal skills
To be passionate about service excellence
To have the ability to work flexibly and be self-directed
Proficient IT skills with knowledge of Office software and ability to use handheld technology
UK Driving Licence due to the spread out nature of the resort and shift working patterns
Right to work in the UK
Ability to source local accommodation as no accommodation can be provided
