The Exciting Opportunity
This Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs hotel requires an experienced Deputy General Manager who is strong in managing people and training in both food & beverage and rooms operations. We are looking for an individual who is a genuine all-rounder operationally, has a background in branded hotels and can lead a team of Guest Service Managers and Guest Service Assistants with both commercial awareness and a guest focused attitude. Duties include team rota and payroll, people management (hiring, appraisals, training and development etc...), meeting brand standards and audits, guest relations (guest complaints/comments), hotel budget and finance including cost control, profit, health, and safety. This position will suit an all rounder that has plenty of energy.
What Are We Looking For?
We're looking for an individual who has;
Excellent customer skills
Good communication and management skills
Previous experience in F&B and rooms operations
Flexible and has the ability to multi task

The Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs has 120 bedrooms and 2 purpose built meeting rooms. From its attractions & rolling countryside with the nearby Epsom Downs Racecourse and Chessington World of Adventures the area surrounding the hotel is just waiting to be discovered. We're a 10-minute drive from Epsom station, for direct trains to London Victoria and Waterloo, and the M25. motorway. Epsom town centre is a quick drive away, Business guests can entertain up to 20 clients in meeting rooms with countryside views, and the racecourse is great for corporate events. Local employers Atkins, Toyota and Nuffield Health are a short drive away.
