The Exciting Opportunity
We have commenced our search for a Maintenance Manager at the Holiday Inn Express Southampton. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel as well as Health & Safety aspects including fire safety and Legionella control. Daily jobs include changing light bulbs, painting and decorating jobs, minor plumbing and electrical work and other general tasks. For larger projects the you will arrange local contractors and communicate direct with the Deputy General Manager and General Manager, as well as the company's Facilities Manager. The successful applicant for this role will deliver excellent customer service, have a positive can do' attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care.
Where Will You Be Working?
This fantastic hotel comprising of 182 bedrooms is located adjacent to the Ageas Bowl, home to the Hampshire County Cricket Club.
It's six miles to the Southampton docks, where ocean-bound cruises depart, and a 5-minute drive to catch flights at Southampton Airport. The hotel is just off the M27 motorway, and 5 minutes from the M3. Hedge End Train Station is 10 minutes away by bus, getting you to Portsmouth Harbour in 40 minutes and London Waterloo in 90 minutes.
The hotel boasts two fully equipped meeting rooms and plenty of free parking as well.
