The Exciting Opportunity
The position of Maintenance Attendant has become available at Hampton by Hilton - London Gatwick Airport . Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, you will be a capable self motivated, team player with a positive approach to problem solving! You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Maintenance shift, managing a range of preventative and reactive maintenance tasks reported from all departments of the hotel & guests.
You will also oversee contractors works on site and ensure that we operate a robust & effective Health & Safety regime at all times.
A good experience of basic handyman skills in plumbing, painting, decorating, carpentry & electrical works is required for you to be considered. You will learn to manage guest expectations and delivering great guest satisfaction. You will be required to act as Duty Manager on a rota basis and have a good command of the English Language, you will be communicating with various contractors, team members & guests. The successful applicant for this role will be able to display great flexibility and communication skills, deliver excellent customer service, have a positive can do' attitude, be willing to learn and show that they care.

Hampton by Hilton, London Gatwick is situated at the North Terminal of London Gatwick Airport, which is the UK's second largest airport. With 194 guest bedrooms, restaurant and bar in addition, the hotel has has a gym facility on site. The hotel also has a Meeting room facility for up to 16 people. We are looking for someone who has a good commend of the English Language & can communicate well with others. You can carry out instructions, are able to pay close attention to detail and will commit to providing outstanding service to our guests and colleagues. Experience within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential, as this is a customer facing role. Support training will be given. You will need to be a team player and be flexible in your approach to work.
