The Exciting Opportunity

We are looking to recruit and IT Manager to join the business and provide full support across all software and hardware, within a busy office environment & hotels. Primary base for this role will be in Brentford although travel to multiple sites will be involved.

As IT Manager your role will involve a full mix of responsibilities from the day to day functionality of the business, to working on projects focused on improving and developing systems and processes to help the business grow effectively. Key duties include:

Your key responsibilities will include the following

  • 2 nd line & escalation fault diagnosis and resolution, both on site and using remote tools.
  • Installation of hardware and software.
  • To be involved in project work covering all aspects of IT service delivery.
  • To liaise closely with the Users to optimise the operation.
  • Liaise with various system & service suppliers in order to resolve any new or ongoing issues.
  • Manage a call logging system in order to priorities & resolve support calls within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Should be able to handle Ad-hoc support & project requests
  • Maintain & develop company's backup & security strategy - ensure that backups are tested and operational at all sites
  • Assist with and lead projects relating to technology for the hotels and the offices
  • Hands on in terms of innovation and transformation using technology solutions.

  • Front line user support using an established service level agreement
  • Manage a call logging system in order to prioritise & resolve support calls
  • Installation of hardware & software across the group level
  • Programme of hotel visits to ensure consistent standards of support and back up and security of systems
  • Ensure hotels have consistent IT offering of software & hardware - best of breed.
  • Liaise with various system & service suppliers in order to resolve any new or ongoing issues
  • Gain understanding of and support a range of hotel IT solutions (TV, Locks, POS, credit card, PMS)
  • Support the systems set-up of new hotel openings & system upgrades
  • Vendor management to ensure best value & solution is fit for purpose.

Experience of the following systems would are advantageous:

  • Opera Property Management System; Hotel Property Management & Guest Systems
  • POS Solutions
  • Desktop/Laptop/ Server
  • PCI - DSS Compliance
  • Firewall and Networking Products

What Are We Looking For?

  • Ideally to have worked in a similar service role for 1 year

  • Must have a full UK license and own transport

  • Able to work flexibly including weekend

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Manages time efficiently within tight schedules

  • Self-Motivated

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

  • Ability to lead and work in a team and to collaborate to achieve results

  • Strong IT technical knowledge with experience supporting IT within a business
