Job Description

Finance Manager – Fixed Term Contract - 9 Months 

Salary Range - £50k to £55k plus excellent benefits  

Based in Glasgow, however all support staff are currently working from home  


Lusona is working exclusively with our client in the FMCG sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Finance Manager on a fixed term contract for 9 months. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that company costs are allocated to products in accordance with the transfer price methodology, providing transparency of cost drivers and indicators.  


The Finance Manager is the finance Business Partner to the Procurement function, supporting delivery of annual financial plan through robust forecasting, raising challenges and driving course-correction, based on financial and commercial information. This position plays an integral role in driving delivery for the reduction agenda, Value Optimisation, supporting ideas generation as well as validating the cost reduction initiatives from idea through to delivery. 


The main duties will include:  

  •  Planning the smooth delivery of an accurate annual standard setting process ensuring 
    • Supply Chain cost base being fully recovered
    • Stakeholders are engaged and the process is completed in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Driving efficiencies and process improvements within the Product Costing process and maintain an activity-based costing process that reflects production complexity and drives improved decision making 
  • Supporting the Supply Chain financial risk and opportunities process by providing accurately and timely forecast recoveries analysis as well as production variances. Support the understanding of the monthly movements which impact on financial business performance
  • Leading the financial support and business partnering to the Procurement Manager and their team, leading the performance management process 
  • Ensuring financial plans are delivered through provision of insightful financial reports and coordinating forecasts ensuring that any risks to financial performance are captured and appropriately acted on in a timely manner 
  • Liaising with Project Managers to ensure annual budgets are delivered in line with plan 
  • Ad hoc analysis and project work to highlight challenges or opportunities in delivering operational financial targets  
  • Managing and prioritising the work of the Supply Chain Finance Analyst, ensuring adequate support and guidance provided across functional and capability objectives 

It is essential that applicants are fully Qualified, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS and can demonstrate strong leadership and business partnering skills. Applicants will ideally have previous experience in the FMCG sector.
