Job Description

The Place:

Xpress are delighted to be working with one of our Scottish Border based Independent Hoteliers. As part of their expansion plans for 2022 they are now looking to appoint a House Hotel Resident Manager, to be based in their Scottish Borders property. This small coaching house hotel over the years has gained a great local reputation for food and accommodation as well as hosting local events ranging from private diners through to weddings and small events. This is an exciting career platform and opportunity that has would suit an existing Duty Manager, Food and Beverage manager or a Deputy or Hotel Operations Manager looking to take that next set up in their career towards becoming a Hotel General Manager.

The Job:

You will be fully responsible for managing and running this small boutique country house hotel, you will report into the owners who are there in a senior resource capacity ; However, it is your Hotel and departments to run and deliver on what is financially expected of the hotel property, Your role will be to manage and control all costs and sales while improving productivity, food quality, service and increasing sales and profit throughout the Hotel, you will have the support of an effective operational team and work with all your departments in achieving the revenue and guest satisfaction targets and responding to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved.

The Person:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a background within quality full-service hotel environment and will have a strong Food and Beverage background coupled with Front of House experience and you might well be now operating at an operations Management level. You will be revenue focused and have a good understanding of the local Borders market and culture, so previous experience within the area would be a preferred requirement. Candidates applying need to clearly demonstrate within their CV quality progression and stability within their career. This role would ideally suit a career minded individual looking to move to the next level within two years. Passionate, driven, enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who are eager to progress their career with a local employer.

The Rewards:

Our client is offering a salary of up to £30,000 plus bonus, company benefits package will be offered to the right candidate.
