The Role:

  • You will have a skill set level that demonstrates your competence in achieving set sales and events co-ordination task
  • Group Reservations & Conference Assistant will support all reservations and/or conference and events & sales function day to day activities
  • Deliver excellence in service to maximise the departments revenue opportunities
  • Proactively be an integral team member who has the capacity to achieve set targets
  • Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy
  • Understands the competitive marketplace, support the department to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
  • Pro -active, vigilant who constantly stays ahead of the game, check and review all booking
  • Embeds high standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
  • Assist in Organising the hotel's promotional activities
  • Work with your team, share best practices, to assist with motivating and coaching all team to sell and achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
  • Understand key business indicators and competitive trends, support all approaches to these challenges
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Essential knowledge of the hotel property management systems
