Job Description

THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an opportunity to join an ambitious, innovative organisation with a solid brand presence. The role includes overall responsibility for Revenue and Marketing aspects of the group operations, working with the Executive Board to set business strategy and drive change.  

This role will involve overseeing teams based in Edinburgh and London.

In addition to being a full and active member of the Senior Executive team responsible for devising and delivering overall company strategy, departmental responsibilities include; .

  • Leadership of the Commercial  team, identifying consumer trends and embracing innovation in guest offering
  • Develop customer focussed branding and marketing strategies to position Apex Hotels as leading independent hotel group
  • Lead a collaborative team to execute strategy from brand awareness and the marketing funnel, through to booking, building loyalty and advocacy
  • Optimise revenue generation and profitability through segmentation and business mix,
  • Embed productive working relationships throughout the operation and beyond through partnership and collaboration.
  • Ensure the leadership teams and key stakeholders can make fully informed commercial decisions as a result of timely, accurate and relevant commercial data.

THE CANDIDATE 

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, engaging and ambitious business leader with a proven track record in driving revenue and executing a growth strategy. Candidates should be clear thinking and financially literate with a thorough grasp of a consumer-facing industry. 

Through adept leadership of the team, you will motivate and lead the multi-disciplined team to collaborate and pro-actively manage emerging business issues.

Strong candidates will possess demonstrable commercial experience, ideally within the context of a multi-site group.

A key consideration for this appointment will be the alignment between the candidate's values and those of the business  Apex is looking to appoint a strategic thinker and experienced executive, with the ability to think laterally and who can take a creative approach to problem solving and has a genuine passion for driving growth.
