Financial Controller

Financial Controller – Glasgow  

Salary up to £40k  

Lusona is delighted to be working with Direct Flooring on a retained assignment to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Controller. Reporting to the Company Directors, the successful applicant will oversee the day-to-day management of the finance function.  

The main duties will include:  

• Implementation of a new cloud-based accounting system (likely to be Xero) 

• Dealing with all aspects of the company’s finances with the assistance of one junior member of staff 

• Ensuring processing of all transactions 

• Reconciliations of the bank account and other key balance sheet accounts 

• Reporting to the directors on sales and margin performance 

• Dealing with VAT return preparation and submission 

• Preparing quarterly management accounts for the bank  

• Preparation of required information for the year end accounts for provision to the company’s external accountants 

• Arranging supplier payments 

• Liaising with French Duncan’s payroll team to ensure staff wages are paid 

• Other adhoc tasks as required by the directors
