Job Description

Jurys Inns & Leonardo Hotels, we are recruiting for an Administrator role to join our great team in the Finance Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic, genuine and friendly person who really enjoys working in hotels.

As an Administrator we want you to be part of a great and diverse team working together to provide great hospitality and accuracy to our guests and hotel in the accounts team.

What we want you to -

  • Practical experience with hotel Property Management Systems and Point of Sales, preferably Opera and Micros.
  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
  • Experience of working with finance software is desirable but not essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in hotel front of house operations or accounting is beneficial but not essential
  • Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
  • Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be Self-motivated as you will be working mainly alone as part of a dispersed team
  • Well organised - achieving deadlines for tasks and meeting targets
  • Detail orientated

The job -

  • Supporting compliance of internal controls by working closely with operational departments and the finance team.
  • Working with the front of house team on invoicing, query management and ad hoc administration.
  • Work with Meetings and Events team across the estate to ensure deposits are received, reconciled and posted to the appropriate property in a timely manner.
  • Assist rooms division and F&B department on voucher redemption, reconciliation and query management
  • Undertake the Gift voucher management within the property to issue out gift vouchers to customers and the reconciliation of these accounts.
  • Assist the management team with cash management
  • Carry Out reporting and analysis that may be requested from the management team
  • Any ad hoc requirements that supports the business.
  • Supporting the smooth running of Hotel, exerting diligent process control and ensuring efficiency and resilience to growth
  • Working as part of a team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to enquiries
  • Taking responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
  • Delivering on departmental plans and objectives, where hotel initiatives & targets are achieved
  • Collaborating with their immediate report, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships whilst promoting the company culture and values.
  • Ensuring adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
