THE ROLE - COMMIS CHEF

We have Commis Chef opportunities to suit a wide variety of culinary styles.  Choose from our formal 2 rosette restaurant The Cameron Grill, our family friendly Boat House with its seafood and pizza, The Clubhouse at the Carrick serving popular everyday options, our new Tavern Bar serving pub classics, our join our Banqueting and Events team or Pastry brigade. 

Whatever the style, our menus are created around locally sourced fine food and are prepared and presented with passion creativity and flair. 

The key things you will be responsible for:

Receiving, and safe storage of deliveries
Performing basic cleaning duties according to schedules ensuring regular sanitization of all workstations and hand contact surfaces
Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers and recording
Accurately measuring ingredients
Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
Preparing basic salads and sauces 
Plating and presenting food
Supporting the kitchen porter team as required

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

Apprenticeship or relevant work experience within a professional kitchen
Good communication skills 
Basic IT skills, and food hygiene qualification an advantage
